Chris Caton, P.E., P.G.

Chris Caton, P.E., P.G. is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland, and a Certified Professional Geologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia and North Carolina. Mr. Caton holds a BS in Geology from Radford University. Mr. Caton’s 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) entails both the technical and managerial aspects for multifaceted geotechnical engineering and construction projects.  Mr. Caton’s technical experience includes deep and shallow foundation systems, earth retaining structures, slope stability and reinforcement, soil settlement, settlement mitigation and remediation techniques for various soil conditions, subgrade improvements (geosynthetic and chemical stabilization), pavement structures, below grade structures, utility installation (open-cut and trenchless technologies), soil liquefaction, seismic site classification, and forensic evaluation of pavement and structure failures.
